Hall of Fame Welcomes Pérez
Monday, April 7th , 2053
José Pérez, the great right fielder and consummate professional, was inducted into the To The Wall Baseball Hall of Fame today.
At the induction ceremony, he grew misty-eyed as he recalled the highlights of his playing career: his first base hit, his first home run and -- humorously -- the first time he was thrown out at home plate.
Pérez says he blew through his third base coach's stop sign. As he returned to the dugout, his manager simply glared at him.
"His eyes just burned a hole right through me," Pérez chuckled. "If looks could kill, I wouldn't be here today."
More often than not, Pérez pleased his managers and coaches during a superb career.
His all-time numbers show Pérez compiled a .339 batting average and collected 4504 hits, 195 home runs and 1578 RBIs. In all, he played in 3247 games. Pérez retired from baseball in 2052.

Wilson Sostenes Makes TTWB Hall Of Fame
Monday, April 7th , 2053
The hallowed halls of baseball have been enlarged. Today a great pitcher was added to its list of legends as perennial all-star Wilson Sostenes was inducted into the To The Wall Baseball Hall of Fame.
He was famous for his quirky motion. Sostenes baffled hitters with a rocking, twisting windup and an assortment of release points that ranged from over the top to nearly underhand. Many batters said, "He threw everything at me but the ball."
Sostenes posted a lifetime 297-211 record with a 3.64 ERA and whiffed 3436 batters in 4502.1 innings. He retired at age 44.
