Hitmakers Stymie New York, Take 4-0 Win
|
The Motown Hitmakers got a stellar performance from pitcher José Romano, who handcuffed the New York offense en route to a 4-0 win at The Stinger. Romano got the win, improving to 8-1. He allowed 4 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. Romano allowed no earned runs. The Hitmakers bumped their record to 86-63 with this latest triumph.
Jack Knight, who is considered the best prospect in baseball by BNN, aided the Motown cause with a solo home run in the top of the second. For the game, the right fielder went 1-4 with a home run.
"Enjoyed this one," Romano told the Motown Daily News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
