Kennedy Helps Renegades Run Win Streak to 3
|
It was a fun time at The Cavern, where the Phoenix Downs and Texas Renegades tangled.
The Texas Renegades topped the Phoenix Downs by the score of 5-2, with the biggest share of the credit going to first baseman Andrew Kennedy. Kennedy was 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times for the Renegades on the day. Shih-k'ai Su-Tu, who went 7 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 1 run on 5 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 6. His record now stands at 2-1. Juan Arreola was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 12 of 13 save opportunities.
Caleb O'Keefe, who is tied for 3rd in the PL in triples with 6, aided the Texas cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the third baseman went 2-3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"Enjoyed this one," Kennedy told the Texas News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
