José Romano never let the 84s get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his forkball, to pitch the Hitmakers to a 5-0 win. The Hitmakers bumped their record to 63-56 with this latest triumph.

José Mojera, who is tied for 6th in the NL in extra base hits with 48, aided the Motown cause with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the center fielder went 1 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"It's a mindset," said Romano. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
