Mud Hens Best Hitmakers in Pitching Duel
|
Great Black Swamp Mud Hens starter Wally Johnson was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Motown Hitmakers, 2-1. The 4th-place Mud Hens raised their record to 54-55.
The Mud Hens got a big at-bat from shortstop Andy McDonald. For the game, McDonald was 1 for 3 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 20th double of the season gave Great Black Swamp a 2-0 lead.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said McDonald.
