Evans Holds Scorpions Scoreless
|
The Newcastle House of Brews rolled to an easy 6-0 win over the Scottsdale Scorpions at Moses Fleetwood Walker Park today. Leading the way to victory was starter Lance Evans, who shackled the Scottsdale Scorpions and held them scoreless on a 5-hitter.
"This is what every pitcher wants to do when they go out there," Evans said in his postgame press conference.
This year Evans has recorded a 5-4 mark. In 14 starts he has fanned 72 batters in 101.1 innings with a 2.84 ERA.
