Hayden Fry Field was the site of a tense game between the Iowa City Stalkers and Scottsdale Scorpions.

Scottsdale starter Don Hanna put a stranglehold on the Iowa City offense. The left-hander had complete command of his sinker in leading the Scorpions to a 3-1 win. The Stalkers, at 49-44, have lost 5 straight games.

Early in the game, third baseman Frank Wade had a 2-run home run for Scottsdale. It was his 19th home run of the season and put the Scorpions on top, 2-0.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Hanna said after the game.
