Hesperia's Harvey Gets Outstanding Pitcher Award Thursday, September 12th , 2052 This past season was very special for Karl Harvey of the Hesperia Hornets. He picked up 15 wins against only 6 losses and was chosen the winner of the 2052 Franklin D. Roosevelt League Outstanding Pitcher Award. The 22-year-old Hornets ace fashioned a fine 2.68 ERA in 25 starts. He threw 191.1 innings, gave up 134 hits, 63 walks and held opponents to a .196 average. Harvey fanned 251 batters this season. He received 20 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Bart Hernández of the Hesperia Hornets finished second in voting, while Ki-moon Yun of the Saskatoon Scorpions finished third.
