José Torres was a calming influence out of the Mount Corel Reactors bullpen this season.

His teammates and manager said he had a poised demeanor about him that was typical of someone much older and more experienced. His poise has paid off, as the 21-year-old turned in a sparkling season and has been named the winner of the Ronald Reagan League Reliever of the Year Award for 2052.

The Tocumen, Panama native won the award with 32 saves in 44 relief appearances, 52 strikeouts in 46.2 innings and a record of 2-3 to go with his 0.96 ERA.

He received 20 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Juan Mendoza of the Death Valley Diablos finished second in voting, while Michinaga Takata of the Death Valley Diablos finished third.
