FRL Player of the Week Chosen Monday, July 29th , 2052 So far in his young career, Turkey Stearnes has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Franklin D. Roosevelt League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 21-year-old Bowling Green Burning Couches center fielder hit at a torrid .414 clip as he collected 12 hits in 29 at-bats, 1 home run, 4 RBIs and 6 runs scored. This year Stearnes is batting .300 with 12 hits and 1 home run. He has scored 9 times and has batted in 5 runs. |
