FRL Names Top Player of the Week Monday, July 1st , 2052 25-year-old Rafael Hernández made a few Bowling Green headlines during this past week as the rookie catcher proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Franklin D. Roosevelt League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 14 hits in 29 at-bats to put up a .483 average. Hernández collected 1 home run, 6 RBIs and scored 6 runs. This year Hernández has hit at a .337 clip with 13 RBIs, 2 home runs and 13 runs scored. |
