Tim Bennett Wins GWL Trophy Monday, August 5th , 2052 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the George Washington League, but last week Tim Bennett of the Iron Springs Iron Springs reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Bennett rocked opposing pitching for a .611 average (11-for-18), 1 home run and 2 RBIs to come away with the award. So far this season Bennett has 11 home runs and a .298 batting average. |
