Luis González, the Chicago Beans 21-year-old first baseman, put himself in the spotlight last week making him the clear-cut choice for George Washington League Player of the Week honors. He ripped 10 hits in 22 at-bats, compiling a .455 average with 3 home runs and 4 RBIs. González is batting .300 this season in 18 games with 6 home runs, 15 RBIs and 11 runs scored.
