But even the longshot hopes are now gone, as the team was officially eliminated from playoff contention today. Battle Creek last appeared in the postseason in 2050. This is their 2nd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 29 times in their 43 - year history.
