Red Birds-LumberJacks Swap: Bauer for Kan Saturday, April 5th , 2053 According to BNN there were mixed emotions by the players involved in the trade between the Columbus Red Birds and the Ludington LumberJacks. As part of the deal, the Red Birds swapped 31-year old LHP Brian Bauer to the LumberJacks getting 18-year old minor league SS Andre Rousimoff and 19-year old minor league CF Kunimatsu Kan in return. The players indicated it was good to get a fresh new start in another city, but it was difficult to leave your friends on the old team. Since breaking into the league, Bauer has compiled a 41-59 mark, pitched in 463 games, been credited with 89 saves and amassed a 3.87 ERA. He has 759 strikeouts in 747.1 innings pitched. |
