No-Hitter for Flores
It was a fantastic day for Clerya Sandstorms starter José Flores and a lousy day for the Modesto Scavengers.

The Clerya hurler's pitching artistry completely befuddled and bewildered the Scavengers, as the Sandstorms cruised to a 1-0 win. When it was all over, Flores was credited with one of the rarer feats in baseball -- a no-hitter.

"The ball was moving and darting, and best of all, going where I wanted it to go," Flores said later.

He rang up 8 strikeouts and allowed 3 walks while shutting Modesto down at Ballpark of Coupeville.

This season Flores has compiled a 1-1 mark with a 2.29 ERA in 4 starts.
