Newcastle overcame a superlative game from Esteban Ramírez to beat Ludington, 2-1. The Ludington pitcher took player of the game honors in a losing cause. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball. Reliever Cecil West picked up the win. His record improves to 6-4. Jon Marshall took the loss. Newcastle bumps their record to 76-81 with the win.

The House of Brews got a big at-bat from designated hitter Elliott White. For the game, White was 1-5. In the top of the 12th, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 134th hit of the season gave Newcastle a 2-1 lead.
