Victory Over Boomsticks Takes Ludington to 113-40
Starting pitcher Matt Hughes pitched well enough to help the Ludington LumberJaxxx beat the Asheville Boomsticks by the score of 7-5. The LumberJaxxx, at 113-40, have a comfortable 30˝-game lead in their division.

The LumberJaxxx got a big at-bat from shortstop Chris Hogbin. For the game, Hogbin went 1 for 4 with a double and a walk. In the bottom of the seventh, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 15th double of the season gave Ludington a 5-4 lead.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Hogbin told the Ludington Herald. "It's as simple as that."
