Dominant Performance by Black in Dam Site Win
|
The Dam Site Drifters picked up a win at The Stinger, knocking off the New York Moneymen, 7-2. On the mound for Dam Site was right-hander Bill Black, who played a pivotal role in the win. The Drifters go to 75-77, putting them third in the Nationalist League Stars Division.
Black's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 7 strikeouts in 7 innings while allowing 4 hits. Black, who is a six-time All-Star, goes to 13-13 on the year with 213 strikeouts.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Black said.
