Getting a good performance from left fielder Yorikane Oyama, the Great Black Swamp Mud Hens defeated the Greenville 84s, 7-1. Oyama was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Mud Hens. The winner was Floyd Weston, who threw 106 pitches over 6 innings. The right-hander was charged with 1 run on 7 hits. The Mud Hens bumped their record to 74-74 with this latest triumph.

Oyama had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 1-2 sinker from Micah Richardson, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Mud Hens a 3-1 lead. It was the 19th home run of the year for Oyama.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Oyama. "And not try to do too much."
