Indianapolis played host to Motown at the friendly confines of Thunder Stadium.

The Indianapolis Indians topped the Motown Hitmakers, 7-2, with first baseman Javier Román playing a big role. Román hit 2 home runs for the Indians in the win. The Indians bumped their record to 70-70 with this latest triumph.

Freddy Boyd, who is a three-time All-Star, chipped in for Indianapolis with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
