84s Bang Out 6-2 Win Versus Wildwood
|
Donald Gregory left his imprint on the 6-2 Greenville win against the Wildwood Fishers. Gregory was 2 for 3 with a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Chris Puryear, credited with the save, is now 8 for 12 in save opportunities. The 84s, at 66-67, sit in 4th place in the Patriotic League Independence Division.
Gregory contributed a big hit, a bases-clearing double, for Greenville in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-0, Gregory took a curveball from Todd Thorp and stroked the double to left-center. His 8th double of the season allowed the 84s to leap in front, 3-2.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Gregory.
