6 Straight Wins for LumberJaxxx
|
The Ludington LumberJaxxx and Dam Site Drifters completed their game despite the rain.
The Dam Site Drifters got a sterling performance from catcher Bill Hatch, but the LumberJaxxx still prevailed, 5-4. Hatch was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He went 3-4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Dam Site has now lost 4 straight.
The LumberJaxxx got a big at-bat from first baseman Curtis Carson. For the game, Carson went 3 for 6 with 3 singles. In the top of the 11th, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 144th hit of the season gave Ludington a 5-4 lead.
"We found a way to get it done," Carson said.
