Central Valley beat Cummaquid on the strength of starter Richard Davis's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 4-1 win. Davis got the win, improving to 15-7. He allowed 4 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. Davis allowed 1 earned run. The Turkey Vultures, now 78-48, have won 8 in a row.
Micheal Meyer, who is a two-time Crash Davis Award winner, aided the Central Valley cause with a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the catcher was 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk.
