It was a fun time at Devil Cat Park, where the Texas Renegades and Wicker Park Devil Cats tangled.

Getting an impressive start from Nobuo Kichida, Wicker Park beat Texas by the score of 5-2. Wicker Park, now 57-68, holds last place in the Patriotic League Independence Division.

The Devil Cats got a big at-bat from right fielder José Pérez. For the game, Pérez was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 12th home run of the season gave Wicker Park a 5-1 lead.

"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Pérez said.
