Indianapolis played host to Great Black Swamp at the friendly confines of Thunder Stadium.

The Indianapolis Indians beat the Great Black Swamp Mud Hens, 6-2, at Thunder Stadium. Indianapolis third baseman Rubén Valentín earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 3 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Indianapolis now owns a record of 58-61.

The game turned with one out in the bottom of the fourth when Valentín hit a 2-run home run. It propelled the Indians into the lead, 3-1.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Valentín told the Indianapolis Citizen.
