Boomsticks Win at Central Valley, 4-1

Asheville rode a fine outing from starter Vincent Harrison to victory over the Central Valley Turkey Vultures at The Euclyptus Nest. The final score was 4-1. In 7 innings, Harrison surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 1. He allowed no runs. Bill Chambers got the save, his 7th in 7 chances.
Lloyd O'Brian's at-bat in the top of the third inning was a big one for Asheville. Coming to bat with two out, runners on 1st and 2nd and Asheville leading 1-0, the right fielder hit a run-scoring single.
"I made some pitches when I had to," said Harrison.
