Victory Pushes Hitmakers Record to 62-55
|
The Motown Hitmakers grabbed a 6-3 win over the Central Valley Turkey Vultures at Old League Park. Motown first baseman José Lluea went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once to earn player of the game honors. The Hitmakers bumped their record to 62-55 with this latest triumph.
Lluea contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Motown in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 2-0, Lluea took a fastball from Richard Davis and stroked the home run to right. His 29th home run of the season allowed the Hitmakers to leap in front, 3-2.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Lluea said.
