Potthole starter P.J. Lane pitched effectively against the Warren Trojans at MDOT Park. The right-hander led his team to a 4-2 win. Potthole reliever Don Dennis was credited with the win, to go to 3-1. Fred Moore took the loss for Warren. Even with the win, the Pride have a dismal 33-84 record.
Lúcio Velasco was the walk-off hero for Potthole. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Pride right fielder hit a dramatic 2-run home run to send the teams home.
"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Velasco.
