Moneymen Walk Off with 3-2 Win
|
The Indianapolis Indians got a superb performance from pitcher Ramón Padilla, but the New York Moneymen still won the game, 3-2. Padilla was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball. The Moneymen bumped their record to 59-57 with this latest triumph.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With New York trailing 2-1, Joe Wilder hit a fastball from Scott González to left-center for a 2-run home run. Just like that, the Moneymen had a walk-off win.
"This joint was rocking," said Wilder.
