Benefiting from Earl Gill's productive game, the Iowa City Stalkers downed the Texas Renegades, 9-4. Gill went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Stalkers. The Stalkers bumped their record to 65-51 with this latest triumph.

Gill had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 3rd in the bottom of the third inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Stalkers went on to win.

"We're in a marathon, not a sprint," Gill said in postgame remarks. "Soon enough, the finish line will be in sight."
