José Bernard made an impact in the 9-2 Motown win over Cummaquid. Bernard, who leads the NL in hits with 160, went 4-4 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk. The Hitmakers bumped their record to 52-49 with this latest triumph.

Denny Dean, who is tied for 8th in the NL in RBI with 57, aided the Motown cause with a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh. For the game, the left fielder was 1 for 5 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

"We looked pretty good up and down," said Motown manager Corey Slutsky.
