The Greenville 84s and Newcastle House of Brews provided some drama at Moses Fleetwood Walker Park.
Newcastle House of Brews starter Lance Evans turned in a top-notch performance against the Greenville 84s at Moses Fleetwood Walker Park. The result was a win for the House of Brews, 3-2. Cecil West earned his 14th save in 16 chances.
The House of Brews got a big at-bat from first baseman Kaoru Fujihara. For the game, Fujihara went 1-4 with a double. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 19th double of the season gave Newcastle a 1-0 lead.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Evans told the Newcastle News.
The third-place 84s have lost 5 straight games.
