Potthole rode a decent outing from starter Sergio Colón to victory over the New York Moneymen at The Stinger. The final score was 3-2. Colón, the winner, moves to 5-10. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 2 walks. Júlio Martínez converted his 1st save in 3 tries.
The result might have been different for Potthole, had it not been for Paco Niñor. The second baseman produced a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to put the Pride ahead, 3-2. For the game, Niñor had 1 double and 3 singles in 4 at-bats.
"I made some pitches when I had to," said Colón.
Even with the win, the Pride have a dismal 27-72 record.
