Renegades Need Extras to Top Stalkers
Texas starter Telmo Badanha pitched effectively against the Iowa City Stalkers at Hayden Fry Field. The left-hander led his team to a 6-4 win. Sergio Pagán got credit for the win, improving to 3-3. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. Bryan Hale notched his 1st save in 4 chances.

The Renegades got a big at-bat from designated hitter Mitch Richard. For the game, Richard went 2-5 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the 11th, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 16th double of the season gave Texas a 6-4 lead.

"We didn't go down without a fight," said Iowa City manager Mark Sands.

Even with the win, the Renegades have a dismal 31-60 record.
