Devil Cats Continue Skid Thanks to Davis, Boomsticks
The Asheville Boomsticks defeated the Wicker Park Devil Cats, 9-2, at Quick Stop Stadium. Asheville shortstop Derrek Davis was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 3-5 with 3 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5. Jonathan Lee got the win, improving to 4-8. He worked 7 innings, giving up 2 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 10 and walking 1.
