Renegades Get Road Win, 7-2
|
The skies opened up and the rain fell at Hayden Fry Field.
The Texas Renegades grabbed a 7-2 win over the Iowa City Stalkers at Hayden Fry Field. Texas first baseman Mitch Richard went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 to earn player of the game honors. Even with the win, the Renegades have a dismal 30-60 record.
Richard had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the first inning, when he hit a 2-run double. The Renegades went on to win.
"I thought we played a nice game," Richard told the Texas News. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
