Hughes Dazzles in Ludington Win
The Ludington LumberJaxxx picked up a win at Griffith's Park, knocking off the Greenville 84s, 3-0. Starting pitcher Matt Hughes, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Vaughan Daniels got the save, his 24th in 25 chances. The first-place LumberJaxxx have won 4 in a row.

Hughes earned the win, going 8 strong innings for Ludington. The native of Arden-Arcade, California allowed just 1 hit, while striking out 8. Greenville hitters did next to nothing against the right-hander.

"A great team win and something real positive we can build on," said Hughes after the game.
