Greenville 84s starter Luke Taylor turned in a workmanlike performance against the Iowa City Stalkers at Griffith's Park. He threw 8 innings of 1-hit ball in the 7-6 win. Chris Puryear notched his 4th save in 6 chances. The 84s bumped their record to 43-42 with this latest triumph.
Rob Higgins, who is tied for 7th in the PL in RBI with 51, aided the Greenville cause with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the right fielder was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Higgins said.
