Indianapolis beat Central Valley on the strength of starter Ed Hill's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 9-1 win. Hill went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 1, and struck out 8. His record improves to 5-5. The Indians bumped their record to 42-41 with this latest triumph.

Fernando Durón hit a run-scoring double off Fernando Ortíz in the top of the first, which put the Indians in front, 1-0. In addition to the double, Durón had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.

"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Indians manager Mike Leslie, "I like our chances."
