López Slugs Pride to 7-4 Win
The Potthole Pride stopped the Asheville Boomsticks, 7-4, at MDOT Park. The Pride got a big game from Ángel López, who went 2 for 2 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Jason Barr, credited with the win, is now 7-5. He allowed 3 runs on 8 hits in 7 innings. Even with the win, the Pride have a dismal 19-59 record.

López had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the first inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Pride went on to win.

"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Pride manager Matt Philpott. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
