The Dam Site Drifters and Newcastle House of Brews were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd at Superior Stadium.

The Newcastle House of Brews met little resistance from the Dam Site Drifters, beating them 11-3 at Superior Stadium. Tom Hankins led the way. He was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for Newcastle. Ben George picked up the win, improving his season record to 4-5. He struck out 2 in 5 innings.

Júlio Torres, who leads the PL in stolen bases with 24, aided the Newcastle cause with a 2-run double in the top of the sixth. For the game, the second baseman went 1 for 5 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.

"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Hankins. "I think we're going to keep proving that."
