Mud Hens Get Road Win, 7-5
|
The Great Black Swamp Mud Hens grabbed a 7-5 win over the Motown Hitmakers at Old League Park. Great Black Swamp third baseman Aaron Mills went 3-3 with 2 doubles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 to earn player of the game honors. Wally Johnson earned the win for Great Black Swamp. He lasted 5 innings, allowing 5 earned runs on 6 hits, while striking out 3. With the win, he raised his record to 1-0. Tomás Quintero converted his 19th save in 21 tries.
Edison Watkins aided the Great Black Swamp cause with a 2-run triple in the top of the fourth. For the game, the designated hitter went 2 for 4 with a triple, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
