Clark Hits 2 home runs in LumberJaxxx Win
|
The Ludington LumberJaxxx knocked off the Diablo Canyon Tritium, 6-1, at Husqvarna Field. Len Clark, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Ludington won. The designated hitter was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Lou Godfrey picked up the win with 7 innings of work. He allowed 1 earned run on 5 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 9. On the season, he is now 10-2. The LumberJaxxx have an impressive 54-22 record.
Clark contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Ludington in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 1-0, Clark took a forkball from Dave Powers and stroked the home run to right. His 18th home run of the season allowed the LumberJaxxx to leap in front, 2-1.
"It's a good day to be a fan after a win like that," Clark told the Ludington Herald.
