Victory Over LumberJaxxx Takes Diablo Canyon to 45-28
|
The Diablo Canyon Tritium picked up a win at Husqvarna Field, knocking off the Ludington LumberJaxxx, 4-1. Starting pitcher Artie Jackson played a key role in the triumph. Jackson picked up the win for Diablo Canyon, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 8-1. Kent Jackson notched his 1st save in 5 chances.
It could have been a different outcome for Diablo Canyon, had it not been for Thom Ward, the two-time Crash Davis Award winner . Ward contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put Diablo Canyon up, 2-0.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Ward.
The Tritium bumped their record to 45-28 with this latest triumph.
