Devil Cats Need Extras to Top Renegades
|
The 2036 season is getting ugly for Texas.
Wicker Park starter Tyler Beeman pitched effectively against the Texas Renegades at The Cavern. The right-hander led his team to a 5-3 win. Wicker Park reliever Hayden Wiederanders picked up the win to move to 2-1. Billy Hinton suffered the loss.
The Devil Cats got a big at-bat from catcher Boyd White. For the game, White was 1-6 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the 13th, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Wicker Park a 5-3 lead.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Wicker Park manager Nick Angelocci.
Wicker Park has now won 3 in a row.
