The Potthole Pride grabbed a 4-2 win over the Motown Hitmakers at MDOT Park. Potthole first baseman Bernardo Ruíz went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs to earn player of the game honors. Mark Bryant picked up the win, improving his season record to 5-9. He struck out 3 in 6.1 innings. Even with the win, the Pride have a dismal 17-54 record.

Manny De La Cruz's at-bat in the bottom of the fourth inning was a big one for Potthole. Coming to bat with two out, runners on 1st and 2nd and Potthole leading 2-1, the designated hitter hit a run-scoring single.

"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," De La Cruz told the Potthole Daily. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
