The Greenville 84s topped the Texas Renegades, 8-1, in Patriotic League action at Griffith's Park. The player of the game was Greenville center fielder Anthony Bane. The 84s bumped their record to 39-31 with this latest triumph.

The 84s got a big at-bat from second baseman Andrés Silva. For the game, Silva was 1-4. In the bottom of the third, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 73rd hit of the season gave Greenville a 2-1 lead.

"Feels good to get the job done," Bane said after the game.
