The New York Moneymen beat the Potthole Pride, 5-0, at The Stinger. The Moneymen got a fine performance from designated hitter Paul Moore, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. New York reliever Daniel Ramírez was the winner. His record is now 1-4. Sergio Colón took the loss. The second-place Moneymen have won 6 straight games.
Early in the game, catcher Ramón Alaniz had a 2-run home run for New York. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Moneymen on top, 2-0.
"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Potthole manager Matt Philpott.
