84s Come Back Late to Top Renegades
|
The Greenville 84s did just enough to secure a 2-1 victory over the Texas Renegades at Griffith's Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Travis Taylor, who captured player of the game honors. Greenville reliever Micah Richardson got the win, raising his record to 3-0. Sergio Pagán was tagged with the loss. The 84s bumped their record to 38-30 with this latest triumph.
Anthony Bane was the walk-off hero for Greenville. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the 84s center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Bane.
